16 to Life Writer/Director Becky Smith invited Juror to Russia’s Arctic Film Festival
Romantic comedy ”16 to Life” will have its Russian premiere at POLAR LIGHTS, the International Arctic Film Festival in Murmansk, Russia, May 24 – 28. This is the second year for the Polar Lights Int’l Arctic Film Festival with films from the Arctic, Europe, America, Canada and Russia. Murmansk is the beginning of the Northern Sea Route and gateway to the Arctic as a whole. Festival developers believe that this festival has a purpose to popularize the Arctic.
Writer/Director/Producer of “16 to Life” Becky Smith, also a professor of film at UCLA is an invited juror and will be serving on the jury with Joël Chapron who is the Eastern European film specialist for the Cannes Film festival and other esteemed film professionals. Actors Hallee Hirsh and Nicholas Downs will attend the festival in Russia with Ms. Smith.
